1. Overview

How to install the NDIS Wan Miniport Driver:

This Help page will show you how to install the NDIS Wan
Miniport Driver on your computer. Simply follow the
        step-by-step instructions.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

2. Installing network components

Click [Start] -[Settings] - [Control Panel] to choose the
        icon [Network].

If you have not yet installed a network, you will be asked
if you wish now to install the Windows NT Network. Answer
        "Yes" to this question.
The Network Setup Wizard will then start.

Select the "Connect directly to the network" option and
        click "Continue".
Click the "Select from List" button.
Click the "Have Disk" button in the "Network Adapter" dialog
        box.
Enter the drive letter followed by the path, where you
        unpacked the driver (eg 'C:\TEMP\ELSA').
        Then click "OK".

You will now see a list of network adapters that can be
        installed.
Highlight the "NDIS WAN Miniport" Driver and click "OK".
        Click "Continue" in the Wizard.
Select the network protocols you wish to use.
You should install the "TCP/IP protocol" if you wish to use
        Internet access through Dial-Up Networking.

Click the "Continue" button until installation is started.
You may be asked for your Windows NT CD during the
installation process. Insert the CD and enter the path to
        the installation files (eg 'E:\i386').

Windows NT Setup will then install the RAS service. Please
consult Windows NT Online Help if you have questions
        regarding this installation.

        Tip

You will only have to enter information in the ISDN
Configuration dialog box if you are using a US ISDN
connection. You will then have to enter your directory
        numbers and your SPIDs.
You do not need to enter anything in these fields if you
are not using a US connection.
You will have to re-install the Windows NT Service Pack
after network installation if you had installed it
        previously.
